OC Pepper Spray and Expandable Baton Course
with Handcuffing Techniques

In this two-day course participants will learn proper
deployment and use of the baton for strikes and blocks, correct
strike zones (according to the use of force continuum) and
the
proper way to carry, use and provide after care when using
Pepper Spray (Oleoresin Capsicum-OC). Participants will also
learn
the dynamics of defense after being sprayed. In addition, handcuffing
will be taught providing the student with effective deployment
and restraining techniques. Participants must provide the following
equipment: duty belt with expandable baton and holder, handcuffs,
sweats,
athletic type shoes, extra change of clothes and a towel. NOTE:
Students will be brushed lightly below the eyes with
the OC spray to feel the effects.

This course is approved for 15 Hours of Texas Commission
on Private Security (TCPS) training in OC
